Devin Bush Goes Blue

After a long recruitment - and a last-minute dalliance with his father's alma mater, Florida State - Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan linebacker Devin Bush has committed to Michigan.

The 5-11, 224-pounder is ranked the No. 5 inside linebacker and No. 184 overall prospect nationally, and the No. 25 senior in Florida. Auburn and Georgia also earned distinction as finalists, after he had eliminated the likes of Florida, LSU, Miami (Fla.) Notre Dame, Oregon, TCU, and Wisconsin from contention.

Bush becomes commitment No. 22 for the Maize and Blue, and joins teammates Devin Gil and Josh Metellus, both defensive backs, as a future Wolverine. Bush will get a head start on his teammates when it comes to his Michigan career, though. He plans to enroll in Ann Arbor at the beginning of the Winter Semester in January, and go through spring practice with the team.

Bush is the second true linebacker in the class, joining Prattville (Ala.) three-star Dytarious Johnson. The coaching staff would like to add at least one more linebacker in the class.
