Jim Harbaugh Fires Back At Nick Saban Via Twitter

Alabama coach Nick Saban doesn't blame Jim Harbaugh for the deluge of satellite camps, but he made it clear he doesn't like them.

Harbaugh made it clear he doesn't care.

Rivals.com reports Saban told reporters Tuesday he felt camps could make it easy for programs to violate NCAA rules, willingly or not.

"Anybody can have a camp now and if they have a prospect, they can have a camp," Saban said. "Then you're expected to go to that camp and they can use you to promote their camp because Ohio State's coming, Alabama's coming, whoever else is coming. Somebody sponsors the camp. They pay them the money. What do they do with the money? And who makes sure the kid paid to go to the camp? I

"This is the wild, wild West at its best because there's no specific guidelines relative to how we're managing or controlling this stuff.”

Harbaugh, of course, has been the satellite camp pioneer. He and his staff will conduct 50 or more of them this summer alone.

Rivals reports the rule-breaking reference is likely to the fact that Saban recently dismissed assistant coach Bo Davis in the wake of an investigation that tied Davis to potential NCAA violations.
